November Toads

I grew up with the certainty of snow in November. My childhood expectations leave me easily astounded by the brilliant fall colors and flowers still blooming here in this more temperate climate in a month that I still expect to be "winter." Today I saw a flower I've never seen before, to me a wild discovery for a November morning.
