Dahlia Festival

Just as Fall starts to infringe upon Summer, The Dahlias burst forth with one last splash of warmth. Of course there's a festival for them; what flower doesn't have a fete dedicated to it in this state? It was a bright sunny day, with a strong breeze- not perfect for photographing flowers, but otherwise absolutely wonderful.

Ok, so I didn't pay attention to all of the names; I had no idea there were so many varieties of dahlias.

Mt Hood is barely visible in this shot; there was lots of forest-fire haze in the air towards the mountain, and coming into the city.

  3. Pink and yellow, pink with tan background... are two of my favorite images of yours so far. Red, yellow with green background is really nice too... that reflector might have filled in the harsh shadows a bit... to make it even better. Keep them coming!
